This is because it had sufficiency in food that could have supported their livelihoods. The war was all about fighting for survival on the part of the Indians because the Americans were pushing them to desolate places.

For the stronghold to be maintained in its original form there was a group of people responsible in ensuring that its strength is maintained. Every soldier understood the importance of the garrison because it protected their lives from attacks. The commander in charge of the base was responsible in taking good care of the castle and every equipment in it.

The climate of the region is also a factor that made it a suitable place of residence. Understand that many settlers came from very cold places in Europe. However, in this area, there is the tropical savannah climate. The temperatures in this place are averagely eighteen degrees Celsius. There is also sufficient rainfall and short but warm winters.
